I watched the Fox 6 report being taped and think Karen Church and Keith did a nice job. But, I found it unfortunate that the end of the report was give over to a professional PR statement from Wells Fargo, when we were willing to appear on camera. I used to think that when a news report ended with “so and so” declined to comment, it was just a pro forma nod at fairness. Now I think that’s better than giving the 1% the last word when they won’t appear in public or on camera. A press release keeps them in control of the media even though they don’t seem willing to stand up for their position like OccupyBirmingham did.
