Please come prepared with topics for your committee meetings, and don’t forget your notebook and pen to take notes and minutes so they can be published.

I feel sad to say, that I should probably ask to be taken off of the list for the education committee, because as long as meetings are only scheduled on weeknights, I’ll never be able to come and participate.
Please remember that people who work nights are part of the 99% too, and so far I’ve only gone to one single meeting, because all of the others were on weeknights. I understand that weeknights are convenient for a lot of people – but it leaves a lot of people out. Please consider having perhaps two GA meetings a week, one in the morning as well as one at night, or there are going to be people like me frustrated because we can’t do anything with the group.
I am on the education committee and hope that you will not leave
I don’t want to! I just don’t know how I can contribute if I can never actually attend the meetings.
Especially since there’s no discussion board anymore, which was the other decent way to have a conversation with everyone.
I agree but if you are on FB there is a closed group fo reducation committee discusion. I sent you an email this morning (if your last name starts with F) so you can send me info and I will admit you in the group. If you did not get it, I have your email and will try to resend it
I admit, that is not the best solution, but it is all I know of for the moment.
I agree with you that having all meetings at night limit participation. I have to get up real early for work and thus cannot stay very long for any night meeting. I also am concerned that all meetings outside limit participation as well.
I am on FB, but I try to keep down low, so I’m not searchable…if this is who I think it is, I’ll friend you on FB.
I don’t see an e-mail from you – [email protected] is where you sent it?
yes that is the email I sent it to
Service industry and others have long been sidelined by a single meeting time. Perhaps a dual assembly, one day and one night meeting, would afford us the chance to enjoy more input and involvement from many who want to be a part of positive cleanup and change.
I think your suggestion is a potential solution!
What if any feedback from the communty at large have you received thus far from the march on Saturday, October, 15? Personally, I thought it was a good next step, and appreciate the organization by the leaders and the willingness to cooperate by the large number of marchers.
However, I don’t sense that we created much buzz yesterday…………hope I am wrong.
Buzz takes time, but it is happening. Subtle and appropriate exposure over time and to targeted audiences will result in a groundswell of support.
Having priorities or agenda people can understand clearly and agree with easily is a very expedient way to win with basically no battle.
could you please tell us I am on the education committee) what the topic of the education session will be
I want to work in the education committee. We need to meet in committees. Right now a few diligent people are carrying each committee on their shoulders. I am not complaining for I greatly appreciate they work that they do but I want to see more people involved. Personally, I have been clamoring for work to do! (I just need those diligent people to contact me)
I want you to work on the educatuion committtee! I don’t want to post my email here for you to contact me. Find me Wednesday night
I found you on FB and sent you a friend request, I am the wolf in sheep clothing. once you are in my friends, I can add you to the ed committee on FB
I urge all to go to this website:

It is the essence of their hypocrisy for the supporters of the status quo, with 200+ years to hide themselves behind convoluted laws and rules to insist that a new movement such as this has no legitimacy unless it asks/demands specific reforms. BS! IMO, #1 is a demand for public financing of federal/state elections to stop the enormous flow of money to BUY candidates and elected officials.
link not working
http://sociology.ucsc.edu/whorulesamerica/ is the correct link, but if not working just google G William Domhoff and Who Rules America?
So the thoroughly corrupt federal government is going to fund its own elections? Stand-by for an explosion in federal government corruption.
Who were the top 5 reciepients of money from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac from 1989 – 2008? Google it and you will see the corrupt first hand…
Who funded Solyndra and sent $535,000 of hard earned taxpayer $$$ up in smoke?
Correction: $535,000,000.00 (i.e. 1/2 a billion)
The forum will return tonight.
Is there a continuation of Occupy during the day @ 20th Street?
I have two kids (7 and 4) and my husbands works nights. I would love to come to the meeting but am worried I will be more of a distraction with the “bored” kids in tow. Does anyone else bring children to the meetings?
